Parents, Classlink is a powerful tool that is used on JCSD district-issued devices. With a single sign-in, into Classlink, students have access to all of the learning tools that their teacher(s) use for daily instruction. This presentation gives you a quick tour of the Classlink tool and shows how your school uses it to streamline the digital experience for students.

Greening stakeholders of Jasper County School District my name is mr. Bellamy and I am the digital platform coordinator for Jasper County Schools wanted to take an opportunity to share with you a powerful resource that we are using hearing what county was it called class link it is available to all students and teachers on a daily basis and it is Jasper County's repository for all online resources and so I wanted to take a moment to review this application with you so that as our students are completing work throughout the week you are aware of what's available to our students so our Focus areas will be to focus on classlink Launchpad dashboard talk about the names of resources their descriptions and gray levels that are attached to those particular resources show you pictures that are relevant for each other and just kind of review this handbook that we I posted online for access to parents as well as our students and teachers, and then go over just a couple of appendices that we have added I to address any questions or concerns that you may have about classlink so the first thing is that when I students and teachers login to class link on their devices they see something like what you see in the background here a dashboard that is covered with a number of apps that are made available for a student loan for that teacher so the only thing that your child will see on their dashboard is what they are asking using in their classroom they will also see access the team's Outlook Office 365 so on and so forth but everything that is available in class name is what they should be using on a weekly basis so why did we choose classing as a district that is an essential question and we chose that because class link is a single sign-on this means that now our students only receive one username and password which is what they use to access their devices once they log into their District on device that automatically have access to all applications that they need to use in their classes via class link again class link gives them access to all of those apps as you saw on the dashboard on the previous slide so the available resources that we have in this manual is available to the office of technology for all parents to review it will share with you the name of the resource it will give you a brief description of that resource tell you what grade levels we are using the resources at our could be using the sources within and then it shows you a picture of the application so if your child came home and said I have homework and Achieve 3000 you can go if you weren't familiar with the Chief 3000 to this particular man you look up Patty and see the app that your child this one is fairly simple because it tells you that it's a cheap 3000 but if you were using I ready because it doesn't explicitly say I ready in that picture you wouldn't know so it just kind of gives you a guy to the available resources our students we've also added All Digital programs that maybe use district-wide in alphabetical order so if you just wanted to see holistically what we are as a district you can go to that guy died within the manual that shows all of our Platforms in alphabetical order or what we refer to as the application in again it tells you what I'm particularly each app is used for we have included an appendix all for data analysis and these are recommendations to our schools on how to grade and put together expectations for particular program a cheap 3000 Alex already study island and USATestprep it should be noted that this is a recommendation to our schools this is not that it is what they are using however these always that we can hold our students accountable for actually completing the work until you see with a chief 3000 and focuses on article so we want to look at it by article this is the grading system that they could potentially use or if you wanted to look at it by time because students should be spending about 2 hours of time on that platform each week distantly if you wanted to look at some of our other programs you can kind of look around and see how big of potentially be graded and their classes and so we wanted you to know that the work that students do in classes even though it is digital there are accountability metrics that we use District within our district to hold our students animal for the work that they are to complete and please understand that completion of this work is not just busy work but it helps to solidify our students academic foundation in terms of them understanding what it is that they are reviewing and their classes daily then we added a new appendix appendix B which is more frequently asked questions and we are grateful to Mrs she'll tonight Arabia director of Technology he has gone into make very specific to Jasper County in so in this guy that we are developing our that we have developed for you and that we will be sharing I'll be on our website you can go in that document and actually look at how to log into classlink how students determine their username and password so on and so forth and we'll look at a little bit of that I momentarily but we do have our frequently asked questions listed as well have any specific questions about class link time you can always contact office of Technology mrs. Shelton Sr director again I missed the Bellamy the digital platform coordinator and I boots-on-the-ground who's kind of helping us in buildings as Miss Jasmine turbin services are instructional technology coordinator and now I'm going to shift gears because I would like to show you what this looks like and so the first thing is there is on the desktop of every student and teachers computer a link to class link that looks like this the classlink Launchpad so if our teachers and students on that particular link it is going to take them to a page that looks like this that says sign on to class link that is again very specific to Jasper County School District if they hit sign-in with Microsoft as I stay it is going to use their credentials that they use to log into their computer to take them directly to their dashboard and so what you are seeing now is the dashboard for my class Link account and so from here you can see there are various things that I have access to as a district administrator but as I stated in early accession what your child will see is what they are using in their particular school and so when they log on here all they have to do is double click on whatever app they're using and it will take them directly into the program that they are using if you tell your child to get your work done and they I don't have my username and password they don't need an additional user name and password once they get into class link they have access to every resource that is made available to them through their school and so I wanted you see what that looks like as a part of this video and how your child can access this particular resource now the PowerPoint was built around this document and again it is shared on our district website on the online resource and we extend that to teachers as well and as I stated when you go in here we now have how to login information to class link from home access and classy from mobile devices whether you are you Google products are Android products or Apple devices we have that information for you and then we actually have the particular resources that we are using in Jasper County Again by grade level with the description and the picture of the specific app with in class link so as you are scrolling through that document again you can wait up on how all of these program are used at various sites and then as I mentioned we do have the digital programs in alphabetical order if you just wanted to jump down to see what the program is used for based upon your child saying they have homework on assignment to complete you can jump as well and so when we get to our appendix a again these are recommendations for you since you will see a very explicit guy and the programs that it is attached to and how those expectation maybe in place I'm at various schools if the resources being used so this is a page for Alex I'm already reading our math Achieve3000 Study Island in USA test prep and all those look different based upon how it is used and what expectations each School site I puts together for their students and the most important would be frequently asked questions again that is our appendix B and when you look at that it does provide answers to all of the questions again very specific to Jasper County School District what the screen look like when they login talks about username passwords if you're locked out what do you do and so if you have questions at any given time we do encourage you to use this resource for support ever if you find that what you it's not answer within that resource please do not hesitate to reach out to mr. Shelton director technology myself or mr. Man again who is boots on the ground but most importantly reach out to your school b o your principals and administrators curriculum facilitators and teachers should be able to provide some assistance with you but if you can't get what you need from the school site we are here to serve and support you and we are more than happy to answer any questions. you have the big takeaway though is that class link should be used every day by every student and every teacher that is where they have direct access to all of the programs that they are using and their schools and so there should be no snow accessing them are completing work if they use classlink if they try to go in through the website that made it may be presented with some problems because our district is set up where access is by way of classifying and that is why important as well that our students are using district-issued devices to access are all of our programs again if you have any questions are concerned don't hesitate to reach out to us as we are here to serve and support thank you for your time and attention
