Natasha Tingman-Orr was born in Brooklyn, New York. She moved to South Carolina in 2009 and currently resides there with her husband, daughter and two stepchildren. She works at Hardeeville-Ridgeland Middle School as a Behavior Interventionist, assisting students to make better choices to ensure them a brighter future. She is the wife of a Little League Commissioner, so she spends lots of her time with the youth in her community.
One of her greatest accomplishments is being the Founder of SC Precious Jewels, a teen girls’ empowerment program. It was established to provide young ladies with an opportunity to grow socially and personally. SC Precious Jewels embraces the nature of young ladies. It encompasses community service, leadership development, etiquette workshops and social activities. Each young lady receives group mentoring, career coaching, and life skills. SC Precious Jewels helps create lifestyle changes young ladies that they can use for the duration of their lives. SC Precious Jewels is a sisterhood, a place that a young lady can call her own.
