Jasper County Students and Teacher Perform with Lowcountry Youth Wind Symphony

Students from Jasper County, Beaufort County and parts of Georgia have been rehearsing on Thursday evenings at Church of the Palms in a Okatie, SC in preparation for the Winter Celebration Concert that was performed on December 16, 2018.

The Lowcountry Youth Wind Symphony is a concert band program open to student musicians in grades 7-12 from traditional school and homeschool settings, who are already playing wind or percussion instruments. The mission of the band is to enhance the school music experience and to provide homeschool students a performance opportunity they otherwise may not have.  The music directors are Don Jimella and Christina Randall (HRMS Band Director) and the music staff members are Casi Beals and Sherry Iaffaldano.

Kayla Rowell- RHHS sophomore clarinet
Nallely Macias - RHHS Junior trumpet
Randi Hanney - HRMS 8th grade flute
Eduardo Corado - HRMS 8th grade flute
Tristan Johnston - HRMS 8th grade Alto saxophone
