HRMS Robotics Club member Gabrielle Cheney (7th grader) won first prize in a promotional contest sponsored by the Beaufort Jasper Water and Sewer Association (BJWSA). The contest was open to all middle school students in both Jasper and Beaufort counties. Students had to create a 1 minute video depicting a day without water. Ms. Cheney’s winning entry was a digital animation, created through PowToon, explaining the challenges of living without clean water. Other robotic team members who submitted videos and animations also received prizes. Each participant was awarded with a solar powered phone charger and the first place prize of an Ipad Air went to Gabby. BJWSA officials presented the robotics team with their prizes in the HRMS Media Center on 12/3/18, followed by a pizza party and cake.
