HRMS Honors Veterans at Veterans Day Program

HRMS students and staff honored America's Veterans during a Veteran's Day program on November 12. Naliyah Toomer opened the program, singing the National Anthem. The HRMS Band followed with a performance of "America," arranged by Robert Longfield. Jameelah Bright explained the history and meaning of Veterans Day and Miracle Malave read a poem about the holiday. Students interviewed five HRMS teachers who served in the military, asking them about their experiences. Resource Officer Rogers, who served in the Navy for 19 years, was the guest speaker. The program concluded with the chorus performing "A Patriotic Salute" by Linda Specavek.
