Hardeeville Ridgeland Middle School teacher Ms. Marsha Neal was recognized at this year's WTOC Top Teacher Luncheon. The Georgia Ports Authority and WTOC-TV Top Teacher Award was established to recognize those in area classrooms who clearly demonstrate a commitment to teaching excellence. The nominations for 2017 Top Teachers were collected from more than 50 schools, from kindergarten through 12th-grade classes, in 22 counties. Nominees were rated on three criteria: sharing a love of learning, civic and/or volunteer activities, and providing a positive role model.
