On Saturday, February 29th, 2020, the HRMS Band held it's 2nd annual Concert Performance Assessment Clinic Day. This day is planned to help our performing ensembles that will be performing at local and state assessments. We invited several music educators and retired music educators to work with both the HRMS Advanced Band and the RHHS Honor Band. Both of the bands will be performing at the local Beaufort Concert Performance Assessment Pre-Festival and the South Carolina Band Directors Association Concert Performance Assessment. Both of these assessments will take place during the month of March. Each clinician worked with the full band to help them perfect the pieces they will perform for judges during the assessments. Each clinician also had the chance to work with small groups and individual musicians from both school to help the students on individual criteria found in the assessment rubrics.
